About Operative Hysteroscopy (Hysteroscopic Surgery)
Operative hysteroscopy is the treatment of a problem identified during diagnostic examination using the same approach. Polyps, fibroids growing into the uterine cavity, congenital septa, and adhesions can be removed with this method. Since the procedure is performed through the cervix, there is no abdominal incision; it is usually done under short-term anesthesia and discharge on the same day is possible. The recovery period is short, and mild bleeding lasting a few days is expected. Correcting the intrauterine structure can help reduce bleeding complaints and increase the chance of pregnancy in suitable patients; however, the outcome varies depending on the cause.
