About Uterine Septum and Intrauterine Adhesion Treatment
A uterine septum is a congenital structure that partially or completely divides the uterine cavity into two and is associated with recurrent pregnancy loss in some women. Intrauterine adhesions, on the other hand, usually develop after curettage, infection, or surgeries; they may present with a decrease or complete cessation of menstrual bleeding. Both conditions can be visualized and corrected through hysteroscopy. After the procedure, additional treatments and follow-up hysteroscopy may be planned to ensure proper healing of the uterine lining. The impact of the treatment on pregnancy outcomes varies from patient to patient, and expectations are discussed from the outset.
