About 4D Color Doppler Ultrasonography
Three-dimensional ultrasound shows the superficial structures of the baby, while four-dimensional examination displays this image in motion. In addition to being a valuable experience for families, it can also provide diagnostic contributions in the evaluation of areas such as the face and hands. Color Doppler examines the blood flow in the umbilical cord, uterus, and vessels belonging to the baby; these measurements are especially guiding in the monitoring of growth retardation and hypertension issues. Image quality varies depending on the baby's position, the amount of fluid, and the gestational week; a clear image may not be obtained in every session. This examination does not replace routine ultrasound but complements it.
