Preparation for a healthy pregnancy begins before conception. During this consultation, chronic diseases, medications used, vaccination status, family history, and previous pregnancies are evaluated; necessary blood tests are planned. Starting folic acid supplementation before pregnancy, quitting smoking and alcohol, and weight management are recommendations supported by scientific evidence. In cases of thyroid disease, diabetes, or hypertension, treatment adjustments suitable for pregnancy are discussed during this period. The consultation concludes with a preparation plan tailored to your personal history.
