About Cervical Conization (LEEP) and CIN Treatment
Precancerous lesions, referred to as CIN (Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia), indicate the degree of changes in cervical cells. Mild changes often regress spontaneously and are monitored through follow-up; treatment is recommended for moderate and severe lesions. Conization is a procedure in which a cone-shaped piece of tissue is removed from the cervix using an electric thin wire loop or similar methods; it both removes the lesion and allows for the entire excised tissue to be examined. The procedure is usually performed under short-term anesthesia, and discharge on the same day is possible. Afterwards, the healing process and potential effects on pregnancy planning are discussed in detail, and regular check-ups are maintained.
